Northwest Trek.
Saturday we went to Northwest Trek Wildlife Park. We saw lots of animals that are native to the Northwest states. We took an hour long tram ride around the "free roam" area. They have lots of animals roaming free in their habitat.
Grey Wolf. These were not in the free roam area, but in a viewing area. The happened to be pretty close as we walked by.
Stuffed Grey Wolf looking Roman eye to eye.
Elk in Free Roaming area. These animals were HUGE!
Mountain goat very close to the road as we drove past.
Huge Moose eating from this tree.
Buffalo. We saw lots of Buffalo this day. One (not this one) got very very close to our tram. The driver let us know he was likely looking for a girl buffalo since it was breeding season.
Golden Eagle.
We lucked out and got an upfront viewing of feeding time in the bear viewing area. The keepers spread Nutella all around the rocks and trees, then let the bears out to find their snack.
Roman comparing his hands to bear claws.
It was a really fun day seeing lots of amazing animals in their natural habitats.
