Roman and I got crafty and decied to make Play Dough. Roman was so good at measuring and stirring!
1cup flour
1/2 cup Salt
2 teasoons cream of tartar, 1 tablespoon of oil, and 1 cup of water
Stir till mixed
Add food coloring (roman wanted purple)
Stir some more....
Cook on low/medium for 3-4 minutes while stirring, It pulls away from the pot and gets a bit darker in color when done. Let cool. This is what it looked like when done. It's grainy because of the salt, but the more you work it,the smooter it gets.
Roman played with his play dough all afternoon!
The texture didn't suit Griffin, but he liked to play with the tools over the play dough.
Griffin gave up the dough play long before Roman. He resorted to his very favorite past time, peek-a-boo.

Too cute! Roman looks like a really good helper!
We have an economics unit that we use play dough for. 150 batches just for my 2 Social Studies classes. 600 for all of fourth grade. Thank God for vonderful parent volunteers or I would still be making play dough!!
