Blackberries!!

We were taking a walk last week and saw some people in the ditch with buckets lined up along side the road. As we took a closer look, we saw they were picking wild blackberries. We picked a few and ate them durring our walk. They are SO good. After we got home we realized that these wild blackberry bushes are everywhere! Rich took enough berries from a bush near our house to make a pie. I'm not a big fan of fruit pie (i'd rather chocolate pie or pecan pie), but let me tell you that this pie was delicious and even better with vanilla ice cream!!




As we ate our pie and watched the news, we saw a warning to those who were out picking those wild blackberries. Seems as though little black bears really like those berries too! We're keeping an eye out!
